To replace the ETSI brackets with NEBS brackets, perform the following steps:

Procedure

Step 1

Remove the ETSI bracket on one side of the shelf using a Phillips 
screwdriver PH 2. Keep the removed washers and screws at hand.

Step 2

On the same side of the shelf, place the narrow flange of the NEBS 
bracket so that the screws can be fixed in the holes with a recess of 
about 127 mm (5-inch) from the front of the shelf. 

Step 3

Reinsert the fixing washers and screws into the threaded holes.

Step 4

Secure the bracket to the shelf by tightening the screws with a Phillips 
screwdriver PH 2. 

Figure 55

 shows a NEBS bracket mounted to the 

shelf with a recess of 127 mm (5-inch).

Step 5

Repeat steps 1 to 4 of this procedure for the opposite side.

End of Procedure

Fitting the FMT/1HU with ETSI Brackets

This subsection describes the procedure that must be followed in order to fit the 
FMT/1HU with ETSI brackets. 

ETSI brackets are required to adapt the FMT/1HU shelf to the ETSI standard 
rack dimensions.

CAUTION

Only Service Personnel are allowed to replace the 19-inch brackets 
with the ETSI brackets.
