Unpacking an SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT

Shelf and an FMT/1HU Shelf

This section describes how to unpack a fiber management shelf
(SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT and FMT/1HU).
For convenience, the SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT and FMT/1HU Shelf are
referred to as the fiber management shelf, with any differences clearly noted in
the following.

Each fiber management shelf shipment consists of one equipment pack. The
fiber management shelf is packed in a unit box made of styrofoam. The unit box
and the accessories are packed in a cardboard box (master box) for shipping.

Tools Required

You need utility scissors or a utility knife to open the cardboard box.

Procedure

To unpack a fiber management shelf perform the following steps:

Step 1

Move the cardboard box with the fiber management shelf to the loca-
tion where the shelf will be installed.

Step 2

Open the cardboard box on the upper side only as follows:

a) Using a utility knife or scissors, cut open the adhesive tape. Pay

attention not to damage the flaps.

b) Lift the flaps towards you so that the box is open completely.

CAUTION

Only Service Personnel are allowed to unpack a
SH1HU/FIBERMANAGEMENT Shelf or FMT/1HU Shelf.
