Unpacking an 1HU Passive Shelf
This section describes how to unpack an 1HU Passive Shelf.
The FSP 3000R7 1HU Passive Shelf comes with fiber management tray
(SH1HU/PASSIVE/FT) or without fiber management tray (SH1HU/PASSIVE).
For the sake of simplicity, the term 1HU Passive Shelf is used in this document.
1HU Passive Shelf refers to both SH1HU/PASSIVE/FT and SH1HU/PASSIVE.
Tools Required
You need utility scissors or a utility knife to open the cardboard box.
Unpacking Procedure
Procedure
To unpack a 1HU Passive Shelf perform the following steps:
Step 1
Move the cardboard box with the 1HU Passive Shelf to the location
where the shelf will be installed.
Step 2
Open the cardboard box on the upper side only as follows:
a) Using a utility knife or scissors, cut open the adhesive tape. Pay
attention not to damage the flaps.
b) Lift the flaps towards you so that the box is open completely.
Step 3
Remove the unit box (styrofoam) with the shelf and everything else
from the cardboard box.
Step 4
Verify you have the following rack-mounting hardware (for front
mounting):
•
1 x ETSI bracket pair
•
1 x NEBS bracket pair
•
1 x 19-inch bracket pair
•
4 x screw M5x10 CSK TORX-T25 A2
Make a note of missing items, if necessary.
Step 5
Visually check the 1HU Passive Shelf for completeness and signs of
external damage.
Step 6
Save the cardboard box and the packaging material for re-use.
