Step 5
Connect the other end of the EEE 1394 interface cable to the inter-
connect port labeled I on the 40CSM/2HU Shelf. Don't force the plug.
Check for the correct orientation of the plug if it does not fit to the con-
nector.
Step 6
Check the port status LED indicators.
The corresponding interconnect port LED labeled I1 to I8 on the front
panel of the PSCU or CEM/9HU should be green. This indicates that
the communication between the PSCU or CEM/9HU and the con-
nected shelf works properly.
The power LED labeled P on the front panel of the 40CSM/2HU Shelf
should also be green. This indicates that DC power is supplied to the
shelf.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting Manual
to help
you troubleshoot the problem.

Note
If the 40CSM/2HU Shelf and the PSCU or CEM/9HU are not yet
provisioned, the power LED on the shelf and the interconnect port Ix
on the controller will not illuminate after connecting the cable. For
information about provisioning the 40CSM/2HU Shelf, PSCU or
CEM/9HU, refer to the
Craft/Web Console User Manual
