e. Turn VR8 clockwise until voltage is .020 +/- .005 VAC. (This sets signal level to where ampli-
fier just begins to saturate.)
f.
Move the positive (+) lead of the volt meter to C37 on side near RA11 and record the AC volt-
age. (This is output of second amplifier stage and input to amplifier U14F pin 13.)
g. Multiply recorded voltage by .8 and, without moving volt meter, readjust VR8 to this new value
(+/- .005 VAC).
This sets amplifier output to 80% of the saturation voltage level.
7. [NON-CE MARK ONLY] - Adjust Offset (
a. Set the volt meter to DC volts and move positive (+) lead of volt meter to TP Pin 1, (detector
circuit output).
b. Turn VR7 fully counter-clockwise. If TP Pin 1 remains at a logic high (>2.4 volts DC) no further
adjustment of VR7 is necessary, go to Step 7d.
c. Slowly turn VR7 clockwise until TP Pin 1 just switches to a logic high (>2.4 volts DC).
d. Remove the resistor.
e. Verify adjustment by performing
“VP - 5.1 Tube Detect Sensor (Beam Block) Check” (Page
.
8. [CE MARK ONLY] - Adjust Sensor Sensitivity.
a. Move positive lead to TP10 on CPU Main Board.
b. Without a tube in the light path, set R6 to 3.0±0.25VDC.
c. Place a tube in the light path and verify that the voltage at TP10 shifts to a voltage less than
1.5VDC.
