VP - 14.1 Y-Axis Operation Check/Adjustment

Purpose: Preform this procedure to verify and adjust Y-Axis Pusher Arm Operation.

1. Put Sample Loader in Manual Mode.

a. Press and Hold MAN and START.

b. Turn Power ON, hold keys down until BEEPING stops.

2. Activate Pushers:

E and G Loader

a. Set BAR (1/0) Switch to 0.

b. Press SOL 1 several times.

Ensure Y-Axis Solenoid actuates every time.

c. Press SOL 1 and Y simultaneously to activate both pushers.

F Loader

a. Press Y to activate both pushers.

3. Ensure Pusher Arms are in Phase (i.e., both arms should be fully extended at same time).

4. Ensure Pusher retracts properly.

a. Press Y momentarily to extend Pusher Arm about 1/4 in. into Platen.
