VP - 3.13 Platen to Laser Shield Adjustment

Purpose: Perform this procedure to align the Platen (front to back) with the Tower.

1. Perform Check procedure

“VP - 3.12 Platen to Laser Shield Check” (Page 3-47)

2. Loosen (4) Guide Rod Bracket Bolts (5mm Allen) (

Figure 3-22

3. If Bracket Bolts can be loosened, go to Step 5. If not, continue with Step 4.

4. If bracket bolts cannot be loosened, perform the following:

a. Loosen (4) Platen mounting screws and Adjust Platen slightly until Laser Shield is recessed

.050 - .060in. (1.25 - 1.5mm) from Platen Wall.

5. If bracket bolts can be loosened, adjust entire Platen and Guide Rod Assembly until check

6. Perform

and continue with Step 7.
