VP - 11.2 Barcode Adjustment

Purpose: Perform this procedure to adjust Barcode Reader.

1. Perform Check procedure

“VP - 11.1 Barcode Check” (Page 3-141)

2. Platen checks

VP-3.8,V P-3.10, VP-3.16

must be correct before proceeding.

3. Old Style Laser Shield Only - Adjust Laser Glass:

a. Remove laser shield.

b. To adjust, bend tabs slightly away from glass so they just fit behind platen wall (

Figure 3-78

c. Push glass down.

WARNING:When the safety cover sensor is blocked, light from the Barcode Laser will be accessi-

ble. DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM.
