Setting the Edge Trigger (SIMPLE)
≡
For a description of this function, refer to page 1-7.

Function
An edge trigger is generated when the trigger source crosses the trigger level in the specified
direction.
Setting the trigger mode
Refer to Section 6.1.
Selecting the trigger source
Refer to section 6.2.
Setting the trigger coupling and HF rejection
Refer to Section 6.3.
Setting the trigger level
Refer to Section 6.4.
Setting the holdoff time
Refer to Section 6.5.
Setting the trigger slope
The trigger is generated only if the source signal crosses the specified trigger level in the
specified direction. The direction is determined by the slope setting.
: Updates the displayed waveform when the level of the trigger source changes from a level
below the trigger level to one above the trigger level.
: Updates the displayed waveform when the level of the trigger source changes from a level
above the trigger level to one below the trigger level.
: Updates the displayed waveform in either of the above cases.
If the trigger source is a logic input channel, press the “Logic Bit No.” soft key and select the bit
to set the trigger slope.
Operating Procedure

You must also set the following parameters: trigger mode, trigger source, trigger level,
trigger hysteresis, and holdoff time. For information about how to set these parameters, refer
to Sections 6.1 to 6.7.
