Before adjusting any HCVF air assist blower settings, refer to the following information.
Important:
For all blowers, the settings do not require increasing or decreasing unless misfeed
or multifeed faults are occurring.
For the Air Knife Blower, refer to the following information:
• The available settings are:
Off
,
Low
,
Mid
, or
High
.

Low
is the slowest speed, and
High
is the fastest speed.
• If the preset value is
Off
, the blower is not operating. Do not change the setting.
For the Rear Lead Blower and Front Blower, refer to the following information:
• The slowest speed is setting

. Decrease the blower speed only if the current setting is greater
than

• The fastest speed is setting

. Increase the blower speed only if the current setting is less than

.
• If the preset value is

, the blower is not operating. Do not change the setting.
Note:
Before changing a blower setting, check the current value. For example, if the current
value on a blower is set at

, to increase the speed by two settings, change the setting to

.
Adjusting the Air Assist Profile
The air assist profile controls blower settings in the HCVF. You can create a new profile or modify an
existing profile. You can test changes to blower settings before you save a profile.
Note:
Before you adjust the air assist profile, ensure that the media loaded in the HCVF
adheres to the
Paper and Media Guidelines
for the HCVF.
