Printer initialization takes about 60 seconds. When 

READY/IDLE

displays, the printer is ready to accept print jobs.

Note:

Due to movement during shipping, XANTÉ recommends
that you calibrate your printer after setup. For procedures,
see “Accurate Calibration Technology (X-ACT)” in chapter
3 (Macintosh) or 4 (PC).

Following initialization, a start-up page prints if that feature is
enabled. This page lists the selected resolution, installed RAM, hard
disk identities, page count, enabled interfaces, and network
information (if the Ethernet upgrade is installed). See “Start-up
Page” in chapter 6 for details.

Turning the Printer Off

1.

Verify that 

READY/IDLE

 displays.

2.

Press the 

O

 

on the power switch to turn off the printer (fig. 2.33).

Note:

When the printer is turned off, job information in memory is
lost.
