The following sub session will assume that the EDD for the ICoT PA is already open
and all data was retrieve from the device
10.3 Calibration and Configuration
10.3.1 Identification
Located under ICoT PA/Identification, at this option is possible to see and modify some
information to describe the device.
TAG:
Physical device tag.
Descriptor:
Text defined by the user to describe the device within an application. It is
a Physical Block parameter with space to store 32 characters.
Message: Also has space to store 32 characters and can be used for any proposal,
especially to describer better the application and the plan where the device
is located.
Installation Date:
User can set the date when the device was installed. It has space
to store 16 characters.
Manufacturer: Identification
of device manufacture. Westlock manufacture ID is 77.
The DTM will show the text “Westlock Controls”.
Device ID:
Westlock device identification. The DTM will show the text “ICoT PA”.
Device Serial Number: Unique serial number
Software Revision: Firmware version
Hardware Revision:
Electronic board version
PROFIBUS Ident Number: Device Ident number in use. The hexadecimal number
0E88 is the specific identification number assigned to ICoT
PA.
Profile:
PROFIBUS profile class. ICoT has PROFIBUS PA, Compact Class B.
Profile Revision:
3.02 – ICoT is compatible with profile 3.02
HW Write Protection:
This parameter shows the status of hardware write protection.
The board has a dipswitch named SW4, where is possible to set the
hardware write protection.
Write Locking:
Set the write protection by software.
