input or output parameters but it affects other blocks. The processes within the Physical block
monitor and control the general operation of the physical device hardware. The Physical Block
describes characteristics of the fieldbus device such as the device name and manufacturer, as well
as the profile revision, software version and hardware version that the device was tested against.
For a compact device, there is only one Physical Block in a device.
The Physical Block also contains status information and parameter options that apply to the overall
operation of the device.
The Physical Block Parameter table contains all the parameters of the Physical Block of the ICoT.
All the standard parameters were designed according to the profile revision 3.02

8.3.8 Transducer Block
The Transducer block contains configuration parameters that are used when connecting
function blocks to the ICoT PA physical input and output values. The Transducer block also
performs functions, such as calibration, linearization, and scaling on I/O data to convert it to
a form that will be usable on the Fieldbus network.
Although the ICoT’s Transducer Block is not a standard block, it is based on the PA
standard positioner transducer block defined in the profile rev 3.02.
