6.9.2 PROGRAMMING USING PC-DBA

1. Select

Programming

from the PC-DBA menu and press

Enter

. The system displays the Database Program-

ming menu.

2. Use the arrow keys to highlight

Call Handling

and press

Enter

. The system displays the Call Handling

menu.

3. Highlight

Category 1

and press

Enter

. The system displays the Call Handling—Category 1 menu.

4. Highlight

Warning Time – Outgoing Call

and press

Enter

. Key in how long after the outgoing call begins

that you want the system to sound the warning time to the extension user. Valid options include 1 through
30 minutes. The default is 5 minutes.

5. Highlight

Warning Time – Incoming Call

and press

Enter

. Key in how long after the incoming call begins

that you want the system to sound the warning time to the extension user. Valid options include 1 through
30 minutes. The default is 5 minutes.

6. Enter the time for calls of the type you specified. Press

Enter

. Continue programming other warning times

as required.

7. When you are done, press

Esc

to return to the Database Programming screen. The system prompts: “Exit

This Feature?”; press

for yes.

8. The system prompts “Save Current Setting?” Press

to save your changes.

9. The system then prompts “File Exists, Override?” Press

to continue with the save operation.

10. Press

Esc

to return to the Database Programming menu.

11. When you have finished all programming changes, perform a Send operation to copy your new database to

the DX-80 switch system memory. For more details, see Section 2.1.4.4,
