front seat to the rear most part of the rear seat and is squeezed between the seat areas on
either side.
The sides of the console are made from 2 pieces of 2-layer prepreg panel. The
contours for these sides are marked in the appropriate section of the panel. Test the fit of
the sample panel section at the indicated location and locate any cuts or material that
needs to be added that may be needed for a good fit. Once you are satisfied with the fit,
dig the core of the panels where they will come into contact with other surfaces for
bonding.
To position these, it is necessary to make a temporary fit of the upper fuselage
together with the aircraft panel and with the upper and lower side finishes. Once fitted,
position the top trim of the center console in line with the panel and with the center of the
rear seat backrest. The top edges of the control console panels will fit inside the respective
top trim grooves on the control console.
Make three small wooden center supports to hold the panel opening with a width of
X inches and test fit, position them along the length of the panel. Screw these sides to the
center supports and test fit.
