with a spacing of 1 ½ inch between the marked line and the center line ( 3 inches
between the 2 marked lines).
After curing the lamination, drill the holes indicated in the detail in the figure above
with a 3/16 drill. After drilling, position the locking nuts ( XX ) on the underside of the
panel together with the screws ( XX ) to correctly position the nut. With the aid of a drill,
drill the location of the nuts indicated for installation of the fastening rivets and rivet the
nut on the panel.
Cut the center section of the top floor panel denoted between the two marked curves
leaving two-inch edges to maintain the alignment of the sections. Align the lower floor
supports with the edges of the top panel (front edge of lower support with front edge of
upper floor section, inner edges of lower side supports in line with cut edges of top panel).
Prepare these sections for gluing by cleaning and sanding the sides and also remove some
of the core from these panels for adding FLOX . Mark the position of the sections on the
fuselage. Cut off the center part of the front bracket after its position is marked.
