NOTE: WING ASSEMBLY
MUST
BE PREPARED BEFORE THIS STEP,

perform the operation with the wing mounted up to the section 3.10 , however it is
recommended to assemble it to the section 3.16 ).
5.13.1
Rear spar
The rear spar is made on a flat surface, preferably glass. The secondary spar will be
52 inches long and 3,25” wide. Apply adhesive tape on the flat surface ( masking tape )
demarcating the external dimensions of the spar (52 x 3.25”). Cut out 16 layers of BID
53 long and 3.75” wide, also cut out 2 blocks of phenolic material from ¼ inch of
thickness 3” long and 2.75” wide. Cut out a strip of PVC foam from ¼ inch thick 45.5
long and 2.75” wide, also cut out two strips of this material about 54” long and ½” wide
and two 2.75” long by ½” width.
Center and laminate 8 layers of BID over preparation on glass (or flat surface).
Prepare a wet MICRO paste and pass over the sides of the 45.5’’ long PVC strip, position
this over the center of the lamination. Place the phenolic reinforcements on the sides of
the PVC in line with the edges of the PVC (keeping the width of 2.75”). Position the PVC
strips around the previously arranged reinforcements (these strips are used to ensure the
shape of the upper layers). Laminate 8 more BID layers over the set (centering them).
When this lamination starts to cure, remove the PVC side strips forming a channel at the
edges of the lamination. Allow healing.
