Front floor assembly
The floor panel itself is to be installed with the outer edges touching the back of the
fire wall and with the edges touching the surface of the fuselage. make sure there is 1.5
inches free between the upper surface of the floor panel and the hole positions for the
lower engine mounting screws. If this value is not reached, reduce the width of the outer
front of the floor panel slightly to lower the panel to allow clearance for the washers of
these screws.
The front floor assembly is fabricated from prepreg two-layer panel parts provided.
Before assembling these parts, some “rigid points” must be added to assemble the rudder
pedals.
Cut out the four pieces of 1/4-inch-thick plywood from the hard points and locate
them on the top surface of the floor panel at the positions designated in the figure. Use
the cut pieces as a cutting guide, and cut through the top panel cladding. The figure shows
the recommended default location, if necessary review the position of the pedals for your
requirements. Remove outer layers and core material, and clean the exposed inner surface
of the underside in preparation for gluing. prepare one FLOX paste and paste the
uncertainties in these cavities, fill any gaps between the uncertainties and the core with
the paste made. Cover these uncertainties with 2 layers of BID , with at least half an inch
of overlap over the existing top covering around the insert. Also mark 2 lines parallel to
the center line (left and right) on the cladding
