Keep surfaces secured with staples and allow to cure.
Temporarily position the left rear fuselage in place by taking a tentative alignment.
Work on the frame, spar and rib of the vertical stabilizer, sanding them so that they fit
into the cladding without the need for tightening.
5.12.5
Installation of the left rear fuselage
The first step for this bonding is the manufacture of cap-strips.
Mark the position of the upper frame, rib and spar of the vertical stabilizer on the
left casing, the cap-strip of the spar being optional. In these places, pass a wide duct tape
to prevent the coating from sticking to the cap-strips, also protect the area indicated in the
figure with plastic to avoid any unwanted gluing. Laminate two layers of lace or BID over
the locations with tape. Wait for curing and prepare the exposed surfaces of the lamination
for bonding. Once prepared, dig the core of these filling them with a folder of FLOX spare
on the edges of these channels. Position and align the left rear fuselage in order to glue
the cap-strips onto the indicated structures, allow for cure.
