GC Maintenance
19. Gently push the transfer line toward the manifold, and rotate the collar in the
clockwise direction until the bayonet lock engages.
20. Reconnect the transfer line heating cable to the mass spectrometer.
21. Gently push the mass spectrometer toward the GC, until the transfer line
boot fits snugly over the collar on the side of the GC oven.

The capillary column nut should be visible inside the GC column oven.
22. The MS is properly engaged when the bumpers on the left side of the
spectrometer achieve full contact with the right side of the GC.
23. Replace the cover on the mass spectrometer.
