Control Front Panel Overview
Data Menu
The Data menu is separated into two submenus:
Data_A and Data_B, both of which contain two physical interface–
related submenus. The submenus displayed depend upon whether
your TDR7 is configured for a synchronous or an asynchronous
interface. If the physical interface type is set to synchronous, the Intf
and the Sync submenus display. If the physical interface type is set to
asynchronous, the Intf and the Async submenus display.
The Intf submenu allows you to set the Physical interface for the user
data channel to either
EIA422
for a synchronous channel or to
EIA232
for an asynchronous channel.
The Sync submenu allows you to set the Data Rate for a synchronous
user data channel in bits per second.
The Async submenu allows you to configure the Baud rate, number of
Data Bits, Parity, and number of Stop Bits for an asynchronous user
data channel. The Async submenu parameter options are shown in the
following table.

NOTE: Automatic User Data Channel Configuration
If the configuration you set for the user data channels does not
match that of the user data channels in the selected service, the
TDR7 automatically switches the configuration to match the
parameters of the user data channels in the selected service
.
