Configuring the TDR7 with the Control Front Panel
Sample
Configurations
Using the
Control Front
Panel
Because the TDR7 audio and video decoders are auto–detecting, the
only TDR7 parameters you must configure to establish
communications are those required for the demodulator and service
selection. Examples of setting demodulator and service selection
parameters are shown below.
Configuring the
TDR7 to DVB Defaults
Your
TDR7 is configured to DVB default parameters before it is shipped
to you to allow you to quickly establish communications. However, if the
configuration parameters have been changed from the DVB defaults,
you can easily restore them.
In the steps listed below, whenever you press the
Enter
button, an
asterisk (
*
) displays and flashes for a few seconds in the upper right
corner of the LCD. When the asterisk disappears, the
TDR7 has set the
parameter.
To restore the TDR7 to DVB default parameters:
1.
If necessary, press the
Previous
button until the LCD displays
the
System
main menu.
2.
Press the More button until the LCD displays
Control menu, then
press the
Select
button located directly under the
Control menu.
The LCD displays the
Init, RS232, and Clock submenus.
3.
Press the
More
button located directly under the
Init submenu.
The LCD displays
Config = DVB
.
4.
Press the
Select
button located directly under the DVB option,
then press the
Enter
button.
Once the
TDR7 is configured to the DVB defaults, both audio channels,
the composite and digital video channels, and user data channel A will
be decoded and decompressed at the DVB default rates. User data
channel B is disabled.
