Installing the TDR7
Placement
The location you choose to install the TDR7 depends on the
requirements of your site. The TDR7 may be placed on a table,
mounted in a rack, or stacked with other equipment. If possible, you
should place the equipment to allow occasional rear panel access.
Ventilation
The TDR7 must be mounted so that it receives adequate ventilation at
all times. The cooling fan pulls air through the slots in the sides and
exhausts air out the rear panel. The minimum airflow clearance
required is three (3) inches at the sides and six (6) inches in the rear.
Table–Top
Placement
If the TDR7 is placed on a table or other flat surface, the small
peel–and–stick rubber feet, which are
provided in the standard shipping kit, should
be affixed to the bottom corners of the chassis
to prevent the unit from sliding and to
protect the table surface.
HAZARD: Do Not Remove the
TDR7 Top Cover
The
TDR7
is powered by a switching AC power supply that is
exposed and becomes an electric shock hazard when the
TDR7
top cover is removed. Injury to the user and damage to the
equipment may result. No steps or instructions in this manual
require removal of the
TDR7
top cover.
