Installing the TDR7
Install the remote control device using the null modem adapter cable
provided with your TDR7, then follow the steps listed below to
complete your installation.
1. Configure the communications software parameters of your RCD
to match the DVB default settings of the TDR7 remote control
port, which are listed in Chapter 5.
2. Press the RCD Enter key a couple of times to generate a prompt at
the RCD. If the RCD displays a prompt, successful
communications have been established with the TDR7.
3. If you are unable to generate a prompt at the RCD, follow the
troubleshooting steps defined in the Solving Problems section of
Chapter 6.
4. Once communications have been established between the RCD
and the TDR7, you can change the RCD port parameters to a faster
operating speed; however, before you change any of the
parameters, you should review the information on operating the
RCD and changing RCD port parameters detailed in Chapter 4 of
this manual.
