Configuring the TDR7
Monitoring and Troubleshooting With the Control
Front Panel
As a matter of routine and during troubleshooting, you will want to
monitor the lock status of the demodulator, decoder, and transport
stream and view various aspects of the incoming signal. Additionally,
you will need to view and monitor faults. The following commands
provide examples of how to perform these tasks using the control front
panel.
Specific information on how to use these functions during
troubleshooting are explained in
Chapter 6 of this manual.
To view the receive signal Eb/No:
1.
If the LCD is not displaying the
System menu, press the
Previous
button until the
System
menu displays.
2.
Press the
Select
button located directly under the
Demod menu.
The LCD displays the
Config
and
Status
functions.
3.
Press the
Select
button located directly under the
Status
function. The LCD displays
Eb/No
, followed by the current
Eb/No reading.
To view the receive signal level:
1.
If the LCD is not displaying the
System menu, press the
Previous
button until the
System
menu displays.
2.
Press the
Select
button located directly under the
Demod menu.
The LCD displays the
Config
and
Status
functions.
3.
Press the
Select
button located directly under the
Status
function. The LCD displays
Eb/No
, followed by the current
Eb/No reading.

Press the
More
button until the LCD displays
Input Level
,
followed by the current receive signal level.
