Configuring the TDR7
Selecting a Service From an SCPC Signal
Once you have configured the demodulator to receive the incoming RF
signal, the
TDR7 automatically selects the available service in the
SCPC signal and provides audio, video, and user data outputs.
Therefore, with SCPC signals, you don’t have to select a service
because the
TDR7 automatically selects it for you.
To view the program or service name of the selected service:
At the RCD prompt, type
DC_PROG
, then press the
Enter
key. The
RCD displays the program name or number of the selected service.
Selecting a Service From an MCPC Signal
Once you have configured the demodulator to receive the incoming RF
signal, the
TDR7 automatically selects the first available service in the
MCPC signal and provides audio, video, and user data outputs. If you
want to select a different service, you must select one from the list of
services available in the transport stream.
To view a list of program or service names available in the selected
service:
At the RCD prompt, type
DC_PROG
, then press the
Enter
key. The
RCD displays a list of service program names or numbers available
in the selected service.
To select a service:
In this example, assume that you want to select program number 3
from the list of available services.
At the RCD prompt, type
DC_PROG_3
, then press the
Enter
key.
To verify that the TDR7 selected the proper service:
At the RCD prompt, type
DC
, then press the
Enter
key. The RCD
displays the decoder controller configuration parameters, which
includes the service type, provider, and name.
