This section details health and safety considerations when working with
X-ray
s. Your local
X-ray
agent is able to help you with the requirements
in your local area.
The requirements before an
X-ray
machine can be installed and operated
on the work premises vary from country to country and state to state.
Contact your local agency for specifics.
Do not connect power or air to the machine until you have read and
understood this manual. The precautions and procedures presented in
this chapter must be followed carefully to prevent equipment damage
and protect the operator from possible injury during installation.
Consider the location of the
EZx
machine. Follow these guidelines when
deciding where to locate the machine
•
Make sure there is at least one meter (39 inches) clearance to the
front and back of the machine for the operator and servicing.
•
Choose a relatively vibration free location. Although the
EZx
is
designed to be sturdy in its construction, excessive vibration can
cause false rejects.
•
Choose a position away from direct heat or sunlight.
