The
EZx
software is equipped with a fault diagnostic to help find
specific faults. If the software detects a fault in the
X-ray
safety system,
the
X-ray
s are automatically shut down.
CAUTION.
Only personnel trained by
Thermo Fisher Scientific
or
an agent acting on behalf of
Thermo Fisher Scientific
should
attempt to correct faults on the
EZx
or damage to the system
could result.

Although it is advised that only trained personnel should attempt to fix
faults on the
EZx
there are several quick checks the operator should
make to avoid delays.
Check the screen display
1.
If the display screen is blank check power to the system as described
below.
2.
The
EZx
takes several minutes to “boot-up”. If after several minutes
the system is not at its initial screen, turn the Main switch to the
OFF
position, wait for a few seconds and then turn it to the
ON
position.
Use the following steps to check the power to the system.
1.
Make sure power is
ON
at the mains
CAUTION.
Only appropriately trained personnel should open the
main cabinet.

Check all circuit fuses in the machine
•
Fuse F2 – Electronics line power
•
Fuse F3 – Conveyor Motor line power
•
Fuse F1 – Ancillary devices line power
•
Fuse F4 – 24 VDC bus
