3. To exit Force Transmit, press the <Left Arrow> and a Detection Fault prompt will appear.
Press the <Left Arrow> again and the meter will return to the Pick/Install Xdcr menu and
highlight the [Empty Pipe Set] menu cell.
4. To force a frequency , repeat steps 1 and 2 above, but press <Right Arrow>. The following
typical display line will appear:
Using numeric keys or Magnetic Wand enter the frequency and press <ENT>.
5. If the Force Transmit diagnostic procedure is not used , the normal [Install Completed?]
function occurs as follows:.
Immediately after you press <ENTER>, the computer starts an internal process called an
Initial Makeup. The current Initial Makeup activity appears at the top of the display screen.
For example:
NOTE: In the example above, 0 indicates there were no setup rejections and Initial
Makeup was successful. If the number 6 fluctuates and/or setup rejection num-
bers begin counting up to 9, a Detection Fault error message will appear.

2. As the meter begins going through the drives, press <ENT> again. A typical menu screen
appears as shown below (i.e., only when using a PC via the RS-232 port) and indicates the
current ALC (e.g., 50). Steps 1 and 2 above must be completed before the meter scans
through all the drives, or selection of the detection mode and the Force Transmit function
must be initiated again.
NOTE: The 1010BX meter does not display the Force Transmit data display line.
This ALC number indicates the current receive signal strength and can be used for further
diagnostic purposes.
