The New User Wizard displays the users to upgrade.
When you have confirmed that the wizard will upgrade the correct number of
users, click the Begin button. The progress bar lets you know how far along the
upgrade process has gone. When the upgrade process is complete, the Finish
button becomes active so that you can close the wizard. If you want to stop the
upgrade process, click the Cancel button.
You can also launch the User Upgrade Wizard using the Open User dialog box on the
NaturallySpeaking menu.
Creating Multiple Dictation Sources
Some editions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking allow you to create and train users with
multiple dictation sources. For example, with a single set of user files you can dictate
with a headset microphone, an array microphone, or a portable recorder. This way
you can keep the same custom vocabulary and training, but use the dictation style
most convenient for you at that moment.
This ability is especially useful for a roaming user that you use for dictation at
different locations using a variety of computing devices and microphones. For
example, you might use a headset microphone at one computer, an array microphone
at another, and a portable recorder that you use for transcription at a third computer.
By allowing multiple dictation sources for a single set of user files, Dragon
NaturallySpeaking lets you move from computer to computer regardless of the
microphone type or differences in ambient noise.
You can add dictation sources to a user in the following way:
To add a new dictation source to a user
1
On the Open User dialog box, select the User for which you want to create a
new dictation source.
2
Click the Source button and then click New.
3
On the New Dictation Source dialog box that appears, select a new input device
for your dictation from the list. For example, you can choose from among
different microphone or recorder types.
4
Click OK. You return to the Open User dialog box.
