With a VNC Viewer session, hardkey and softkey tasks of R&S
EVSF1000 can be per-
formed via shortcuts on a remote keyboard.

RS-232 GPS
Connect a GPS receiver to the GPS RS-232 port (9-pin Sub-D plug), or if R&S
EVSF1-
B4 is installed, to the ARINC connector (see
Chapter 3.3.2.6, "Optional ARINC Con-
on page 18). The NMEA protocol data is read in and dis-
played in GPS mode.

PPS In
Connect a PPS signal of an external GPS device to the PPS input, or if R&S
EVSF1-
B4 is installed, to the ARINC connector (see
Chapter 3.3.2.6, "Optional ARINC Con-
on page 18) for precise synchronization.

Connect the receiving antenna (max. +15 dBm) corresponding to the frequency range
to the RX-inputs, or if R&S
EVSF1-B4 is installed, to the ARINC connector (see

inputs are designed as N-plugs.

Connect an external DC power source (11 V DC to 32 V DC) to the power supply con-

Optionally, the R&S
EVSF1000 can be provided with an ARINC connector on the rear
panel instead of the individual connectors in the standard model (see
connector allows you to easily slide the R&S
EVSF1000 out of a flight inspection rack
without having to disconnect all cables from the instrument individually.
The ARINC connector provides connections to all input and output provided by con-
nectors on the standard R&S
EVSF1000, as well as some additional signals.
