Enter your password in [Create New Password] and press
.
Your password will not be displayed on the screen.
•
If the [Caution] screen appears when entering the password, check the status of NumLock and
•
CapsLock.
Only up to 32 alphanumeric characters can be used for password. There is no distinction between
•
uppercase and lowercase letters.
Some symbol keys cannot be used in the password. If you press an unusable symbol key, it will not
•
be entered in the password.
Use only the upper horizontal row of numeric keys to input your password.
•
When [Caution] is displayed and [Caps Lock: On] is displayed (the Caps Lock indicator is lit), the
•
password is set in uppercase letters.
Also, when [Num Lock: On] is displayed (Num Lock indicator is lit), a part of the keyboard becomes
the Num Lock area, and numbers or calculation symbols are set.
Check the status of the keyboard Num Lock and Caps Lock before entering the password. If you
enter the password without checking, you may set a different password from the one you intended.
Do not input your password while holding down on

etc.

Enter your password again in [Confirm New Password] and press

CAUTION
Do not forget your password.
Settings related to security, such as the passwords you set yourself, cannot be canceled by our
•
Service Center, or anyone else at Panasonic.
Be sure not to forget settings such as passwords.
If you forget your supervisor password
•
A paid-for repair is required. Contact the Repair Center. You will need to bring in the computer yourself, and
the repair will take several days. During the repair, the Setup Utility settings will be returned to the default
settings. Also, if the Hard Disk Lock is enabled, it cannot be disabled even during a repair, so be absolutely
sure not to forget the password in this case.
If you forget your user password:
•
Start up the Setup Utility and enter the Supervisor Password. You can change the user password.
If the Supervisor Password is forgotten, ask a person who knows the Supervisor Password.
When ordering a computer repair
•
Disable the supervisor password and the user password.
