Printer Output Format
The event printer port of the workstation outputs each event as it is annunciated at the workstation. The annuncia-
tion output is five lines per event. There are four lines containing device information and status. The lines are not
padded with spaces at the end, but are padded internally for columnar separation. The fifth line is a separation
bar comprised of 79 asterisks. The format is as follows:

Time of Alarm - The time that the alarm occurred. On a local area network, this will be the same as the reported
time. On a wide area network, this time is the time the alarm occurred and was received at the remote communi-
cations device (but not the time it was reported to the workstation). This field is 40 characters in length.
Time Alarm Was Reported - This field reports the time at which the event was annuncaited at the workstation.
On a local area network, this time will usually be the same as the Time of Alarm field.
Site - This field is 15 characters in length and is padded with spaces at the end. It is the site ID of the site with the
off-normal device. This field will report “Local “ for all local area events.
Device - This field is the device ID of the off-normal event. The format for this entry is node, subnode, device ID in
the following format:

” is the three digit node ID, “
SSS
” is the three digit subnode ID, and “
DDDDDDDD
” represents the
device ID. If the device ID is less than 8 characters in length, it is padded with spaces in front of the ID and after
the subnode. For example:

Device Type - This field reports one of the standard device types used by UniNet . This field is 30 characters in
length.
Status Name - This field reports a standard device status used by UniNet . For information on each different
device status, see the Event Data section of this appendix.
Value - This field reports two different things depending on the type of input. A discrete input will report
“
NORMAL
” or “
OFFNORMAL
” in this field for the appropriate current condition. An analog input will list the value
and units for the analog input.
NION Type - This field displays a NION type from the standard NION types within UniNet .
Device Description - This is the description of the device as defined within the workstation. This description is
normally comprised of a 40 character device description and a 40 character zone description that is extracted from
the panel when a device reports to the NION. The entire field is 80 characters in length.
