4.7: Javelin Plug-In Application
4.7.1 Javelin PTZ and Switcher Plug-Ins
The control of Javelin CCTV switchers and PTZs is provided by this single plug-in application (Javelin.exe and .cfg)
and provides the following features on two forms:
• Javelin PTZ -
Controls the Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions available on Javelin PTZ Controllers. Allows full software control of
PTZ, focus, and iris open/close. If a preshot board is installed within the PTZ controller, preshots and a
home position can also be set or recalled from within the plug-in. The JavPTZ plug-in can address up to
1000 (000 - 999) Javelin PTZ Controllers.
• Javelin Switcher -
Controls camera/monitor switching functions available on Javelin CCTV Switchers. Supports up to 1000
cameras and 1000 monitors by chaining multiple switchers together. The JavVid Plug-In allows the
switching of any available camera to any available monitor. The JavVid Plug-In also allows editing of a
camera title for each camera, and modify the display properties (Time/Date Display, Camera # Display,
Camera Title Display, Text Color, Display Position).
Each Javelin Plug-In form is covered separately in the sections below.
4.7.2 Javelin PTZ
The JavPTZ Plug-In controls any available PTZ controllers through a simple form interface (see figure below).
