The Workstation Installation/Operation Manual Version 2 Document 51540 Rev. B1 4/8/02
Temperature Setpoints
The following information can be set within the form:
Cooling Setpoint
in degrees Fahrenheit. This value indicates the temperature that, if the current temperature
is higher, will begin cooling (using a multi stage process, for the specifics of stages and the formulas for
their activation, see the
NION-ENV Manual
or the
HVAC Operation
section of this manual.)
Heating Setpoint
in degrees Fahrenheit. This value indicates the temperature that, if the current temperature
is lower, will begin heating.
Temperature Bandwidth
The bandwidth is the amount of temperature deviation allowed before the NION
initiates a change in operation of the HVAC unit to correct the temperature. The amount of allowable
deviation is half the bandwidth above or below the setpoint. The bandwidth can be set from 2 - 9 de-
grees.
Operation Mode
The mode of operation can be set to
Cooling Only
,
Heating Only
and
Automatic
.
Fan Mode
The fan mode can be set to
On
or
Automatic
.
Settling Delay Before Alarm
Settling delay is the number of seconds reports of the following alarms are delayed: airflow, loss of cooling and
differential pressure (dirty filter). This delay is to prevent false alarms from occurring during changes in modes of
operation. The range for this entry is 20 to 300 seconds.
Post Heat Fan Time
This setting is the amount of time the unit fan runs after the completion of a heating cycle. The available settings
are 15, 90 and 150 seconds.
Post Cool Fan Time
This setting is the amount of time the unit fan runs after the completion of a cooling cycle. The available settings
are 0 or 30 seconds.
Time Between Heat/Cool Modes
This is a delay time to prevent rapid cycling between heating and cooling modes. The available settings are 10,
20 and 30 minutes.
Temperature, Humidity and Alarm Setpoints
The following information can be set within the properties form for the temperature/humidity sensor icon:
High Temperature Alarm
in degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature reaches or goes above this value, an
alarm will be sent to the workstations.
Low Temperature Alarm
in degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is lower than or equal to this value, an
alarm will be sent to the workstations. This value must always be lower than the high temperature alarm
setpoint.
High Humidity Alarm
in percent relative humidity. If the humidity level is equal to or higher than this value,
an alarm will be sent to the workstations. The value of this setpoint must always be higher than the low
humidity setpoint.
Low Humidity Alarm
in percent relative humidity. If the humidity is lower than or equal to this value, an
alarm will be sent to the workstations. The value of this setpoint must always be lower than the high
humidity setpoint.
All temperature setpoints allow a range of 0 to 150 degrees. Entries for relative humidity setpoints can range from
0 to 99 percent.

form options have been set to the desired parameters, click on
