Using Java business objects in a Java
application
Introduction
This section provides details on how to write a non-JSP Java application that
uses the Symposium Web Center Portal Customer Interface components (such as
the business objects). This section focuses on the libraries and configuration
details required when you are using these components outside of the already
configured Customer Interface JSP environment.
This section assumes that you have knowledge of Java programming language
terminology.
Required libraries
You must have certain JAR files (Java libraries) in your applications classpath to
access the Symposium Web Center Portal components from your Java
application.
The core libraries that you require, which contain the publicly exposed and
documented APIs supported by Nortel Networks, are

dbconnector.jar (Nortel Library)

businessobjects.jar (Nortel Library)
You must also have several additional libraries in your applications classpath.
Nortel Networks does not provide support for these additional libraries as they
are only intended for internal use by the public libraries mentioned above. The
additional libraries include

swcpcore.jar (Nortel Library)

clickstream.jar (Nortel Library)
