11 Click Yes to restart the server.
Note: Do not remove the CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive.
Result: You have completed the installation of Sybase 12.5. You must now
continue with the next procedure to configure Sybase 12.5. The
configuration of Sybase 12.5 begins once the server is restarted. When the
computer starts up, a cmd.exe window appears. Do not close this window.
The Sybase Configuration Utility starts up automatically when you restart
the computer.
To configure Sybase Adaptive Server
Before you configure Sybase you must know the host name of the computer on
which you installed Sybase.
Note: When you configure the database, the Symposium Web Center Portal
setup procedure uses the sa account with no password. Do not change or remove
the sa account. The sa account is disabled after you log on without using a
password.
1 When your computer starts up, the following Sybase Configuration window
appears:
ATTENTION
Make note of the paths you used to create the Adaptive
Server. You will need this information when you install the
Symposium Web Center Portal database component.
