Installing the Sample Customer Interface 
component

Introduction

Follow the procedures in this section to install the Sample Customer Interface.

You must complete the prerequisite installation and configuration of Sybase 
Open Client (and the required EBFs), the web server (Apache or IIS), and a 
J2SE environment (JRun) before you can install the Sample Customer Interface 
component.

To install the Sample Customer Interface

1

Log on to the External Web server using the Local Windows Administrator 
user ID.

2

Insert the Nortel Networks Symposium Web Center Portal Server and 
Client Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If the installation program 
does not start automatically, run Setup.exe from the CD.

Result: 

The Symposium Web Center Portal Install window appears.
