e. In the Variable Value box, add the installation path to the ..j2sdk\bin
folder (for example, C:\j2sdk1.4.2\bin) to the list of values, and then
click OK.
Note: Ensure you separate the values with a semicolon.
4 Create a new Environment Variable, JAVA_HOME, and point it to the
installation folder.
a. On the desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, and then choose
Properties.
Result: The System Properties window appears.
b. Click the Advanced Tab.
c. Click Environment Variables.
Result: The Environment Variables window appears.
d. Under System variables, click New.
Result: The New System Variable window appears.
e. In the Variable Name box, type JAVA_HOME .
f. In the Variable Value box, type the installation path (for example,
C:\j2sdk1.4.2, where C: is the drive on which you installed J2SE 1.4.2).
g. Click OK.
