Initial Setup
Additional requirement on
Mxe Server before AMC
sync. Requirements before
AMC sync:
1.
On MSL-server
manager, add the
local network in Local
Networks under Security
(see figure 3).
2.
On MSL-server
manager, confirm DNS
setting in Domains under
Configuration (see figure
4).
3.
Must user SI Tool to
license Mxe Server.
Refer Release Notes for
the SI tool version.
4.
Do NOT activate ARID
via MSL blade or MSL
console. Only enter
ARID via SI.
5.
On AMC, verify that
ARID is not associated
with any Hardware ID
and verify ARID has
the appropriate SW
options for server (such
as software assurance).
Sync Action from SI Tools:
•
Confirm that the local
network is added first in
MSL.
•
Launch SI and enter
ARID.
TIP: ESM cannot be
accessed until SI performs
the initial license.
Adding Local Route is a
MUST to allow internal
network (within 3300/
Atlas) to forward externally.
Correction Action if ARID is
entered via MSL
•
On MSL-server
manager, deactivate
the service link from
ServiceLink – Status.
•
On AMC, clear the
hardware ID associated
with ARID.
•
Reboot the server and
then license via SI.
Note
:
This procedure
would also apply if
service link was not
properly deactivated
for whatever reason.
It is always a good
practice to disable
service link and clear
hardware ID before
attempting AMC sync.
If sync still fails, collect
SI logs first and contact
Product Support for further
assistance and confirm
if tenant 0 is running by
entering (on MSL)"/var/log/
atlas/tenant0/current" orsv
status tenant0 orcollect
MCD logs (looking for
“atlas\tenant0\current”).
