Use these properties to work with the level of detail modifier:

automatically reduced based on the
distance from the camera. The fewer
polygons that are drawn, the faster
performance will be. The lod.bias
property controls how aggressively this
takes place.

provided you’ve attached the level of
detail modifier to the model. The level of
detail modifier lets you override the
default settings.
