22. Crane operation when the outriggers are used
(4) Lower the boom and stow it on the boom rest.
Be careful not to let the auxiliary hook touch the
ground.
(061A-0056-0E)
If the automatic stop function works when lowering the boom, lower the wire rope to cancel the
automatic stop function.
(061A-0057-0E)
(5)
After stowing the boom on the boom rest, hoist the main wire rope and then the auxiliary wire rope slowly until
they hit the stoppers.
(6)
When the ropes hit the stoppers, stroke the levers fully with the engine in the idle status and apply tension to the
wire ropes.
(7)
Visually check that the boom is completely housed on the boom rest.
(8)
Hook the chain of the overhoisting detector weight on the auxiliary
wire rope side to the chain stowage hook.
Lowering the boom in the forward direction could cause the jib to contact the left front fender,
which are close to each other. Lower the boom carefully, using the boom rest mirror with the
boom and boom rest indicators as targets to make sure the jib does not contact the left front
fender.
