18. Driving the machine

(371A-0038-0E)

Check the relevant safety regulations and laws in the country concerned before you drive this machine on the road.

18-1 Preparations for driving on the roads

(T218351-029-0E)

The machine must always be in the position shown below for road driving.

(1)

Fully retract the boom and stow the jib.

(2) Stow the boom on the boom rest and fasten the hooks in the stowage positions.
(3)

Stow the chains for the overhoisting detector weight of the auxiliary winch.

(4) Engage the slewing brake to immobilize the slewing upper structure.
(5)

Fully retract the four vertical cylinders and the four horizontal cylinders to stow the outriggers. Always insert the

stopper pins and check that the outriggers are completely stowed away.

(6)

Stow the ACS display panel away forward.

(7)

Always set the PTO switch to "OFF".

(8) Retract each control lever and use the tilt lever to set the right

control levers to the driving positions (folded down rearward).

(9) Check that the tires are at the rated pressure.

Check that the steering lock/release switch is set to the lock

position and that the rear steering lock release indicator lamp is not
lit.

Switch the two/four wheel drive switch to two-wheel drive.
