10. Entry key system
10-3 Startup mode

(1) To use a registered startup tag to start the engine, touch the startup tag against the tag reader area.
With the starter switch in the "OFF" position and the tag reader flashing red, lightly touch the startup tag against
the tag reader, so that the alarm sounds once and the tag reader changes from flashing red to steady blue
illumination and the engine starts.
Beware that touching an unregistered tag against the reader will cause an error.

Unlocking the entry key system
When the entry key system is unlocked, the starter switch can be turned to the "ON" or "START" position.

Locking the entry key system
The entry key system is locked automatically five minutes after turning the key to the "OFF" position.
(The
indicator changes from steady blue illumination to red flashing.
)
NOTE
・
Before the five minutes elapse, the startup tag can still be used to start the engine without unlocking the
system.
・
To lock the system immediately, turn the key to the "OFF" position and touch the startup tag against the
reader. The system will be locked 30 seconds later.
