Precautions on working in the public road

Position a guide in the road and erect fences etc. to ensure the

safety of passing vehicles and pedestrians.

Further observe the safety regulations and laws of the country

where the crane is used.

(6) Maintain a good work site and environment for the crane.

If people or other machines enter the working area, they could

cause collisions or personal injury.

Before you start work, always check that your working area is

free of people and obstructions. Keep the working area a no
entry zone by placing fences or posting a supervisor.

Precautions when working near power cables

If you are working close to power cables, you can receive a

shock even if the crane does not actually touch the cables.

Observe the following instructions strictly when you are

working in the vicinity of the power transmission lines.

Measures for safety

Contact the managing company in advance and ﬁt protective

devices such as tubular coverings and warning signs.

Arrange appropriate guides at the necessary places to have

them watch the progress of the works.

・

Keep a safe distance between the crane and the power cables.

Before you start work, the electricity company should be

consulted on the location and voltage of cables on the site and

the necessary isolation distance.

・

Allow nobody to come near around the crane when you are

working in the neighborhood of power transmission lines.
