2.13 Siderail Control/Handset Control Does Not Operate Correctly
1. The optional siderail control cables (A) (if available) and the handset
control cable (B) are firmly connected to their respective receptacles on the
control lockout box and are in good condition (see figure 2-32 on page
2-42).

Connect the cables, and replace any that are damaged.
