4. The siderail control cables (A) (if available) and the handset control cable
(B) are firmly connected to their respective receptacles on the control
lockout box and are in good condition (see figure 2-32 on page 2-42).

5. Press the Up and Down buttons for each function on the handset and on the
optional siderail controls (if available). This creates a relay clicking sound
in the control box (on top of the hilow motor actuator).

If a clicking sound is heard with one control actuated but not the
other(s), go to RAP 2.13. If a relay clicking sound is not heard
when any of the controls are pressed, replace the control box
(see “Control Box” on page 4-35).
