Function
This Command is used to enable and disable the front
panel display circuitry.
When disabled, the instrument operates at a higher
speed. While disabled, the display is frozen with the
following message:
FRONT PANEL DISABLED
Press Edit/Lock button to resume.
As reported by the message, all front panel controls
(except Output button) are disabled. Normal display
operation can be resumed by using the :ENABle
Command to enable the display or by pressing
Edit/Lock button.
<b> = 0 or OFF Disable display circuitry
1 or ON Enable display circuitry

Data Format Commands
Command :FORMat[:DATA] <type>[,<length>]
Function This Command is used to select the data format for
transferring readings over the bus. Only the ASCII
format is allowed over the RS-232 interface. This
Command only affects the output of READ?, FETCh?,
MEASure?, TRACe:DATA?, CALC1:DATA? and
CALC2:DATA? over the GPIB. All other queries are
returned in the ASCII format.
