Example
This example shows how to display auto ‐ negotiation status for 1 ‐ Gigabit Ethernet port 14 in slot 3:
C3(su)->show port negotiation ge.3.14
auto-negotiation is enabled on port ge.3.14.
set port negotiation
Use this command to enable or disable auto ‐ negotiation on one or more ports.
Syntax
set port negotiation port-string { enable | disable }

This example shows how to disable auto ‐ negotiation on 1 ‐ Gigabit Ethernet port 3 in slot 14:
C3(su)->set port negotiation ge.3.14 disable
show port advertise
Use this command to display port capability and advertisement as far as speed and duplex for
auto ‐ negotiation.
Syntax
show port advertise [ port-string ]
Parameters
Defaults
If port ‐ string is not specified, advertisement for all ports will be displayed.
port ‐ string Specifies the port(s) for which to enable or disable auto ‐ negotiation. For a
detailed description of possible port ‐ string values, refer to “ Port String

enable | disable Enables or disables auto ‐ negotiation.
