3.2.10 Automatic and manual mode
3.2.10.1 Automatic mode
In automatic mode, the pump controller is remote controlled by a higher-level
controller (e.g. a machine tool). To do this, the pump controller reports that it is
ready for operation to the higher-level controller (e.g. a machine tool): Further-
more, the machine tool requests the required application modules and supplies
them with the required target values or other information.
The pump controller evaluates this information and controls the application
modules and pumps automatically in order to perform the provision of the me-
dium required by the higher-level controller.
3.2.10.2 Manual mode
Manual mode enables the operating staff to perform individual operation proc-
esses on the touchscreen.
Only use manual mode to try out settings for the parameters and to perform
test runs of individual components.
As long as manual mode is activated for individual or several pumps or ap-
plications, the higher-level controller does not receive a notification that it is
ready for operation.
Standard mode
Use automatic mode!
Automatic mode is the pump controller’s standard mode.
Only use manual mode for installation, commissioning or trouble-
shooting.
